His Story
Hailey's best friend, Emily, invited her to her backyard get together in May 2013. When she first saw Brad, she admits that he caught her attention from the start. She thought he was real good looking with a good sense of humor; two things she was looking for in man. Emily and her boyfriend, Cory, introduced her to Brad and they both hit it off. Brad asked for her number and Hailey was more than willing to give him her number. The next morning, Brad called her. Hailey was so surprised to receive a phone call to begin with, but was even more surprised to receive one that quickly. Brad asked Hailey to go fishing with him that morning and without hesitation, Hailey said yes. They fished all morning and Brad made them lunch. A week later, on May 20, 2013, Brad asked Hailey to be his girlfriend and she said yes. Three years later, Brad called Hailey to go to the deer lease with him to feed the deer; this is something they did almost daily. Hailey was walking to the feeder and saw antlers on the ground with flowers and candles around them. She thought it was very strange and it didn't hit her what was going on until she got closer to the antlers. When she got closer, she saw the words, "Will you marry me?" written on them and turned to see Brad on one knee asking her to marry him. Hailey jumped for joy and said yes. Afterwards, her best friend, Emily, and his best friend, Cory, come out of the woods clapping and congratulating them. To her surprise, Emily caught the entire proposal on camera.
Brad's best friend, Cory, was dating Hailey's best friend Emily when they first met. Brad was invited to Cory and Emily's house one afternoon. When Brad walked in, he saw many people he knew and a few he didn't know. Hailey caught his eye and he was nervous to go up to her. He asked Cory who she was and if she was single. Cory was happy to tell him she was single and that they would hit it off. Cory and Emily introduced Brad to Hailey and they spent most of the night talking. Brad got the courage to ask for Hailey's number and to his surprise, she agreed to exchange numbers. Brad left that night so excited to call Hailey the next day. He spontaneously asked her to go fishing with him the next morning. They fished all morning and he enjoyed her company, conversations, and especially her love for the outdoors. A few days later, Brad asked Hailey out and they dated for three years. After their three year anniversary, he decided to propose to her at his deer lease and she said yes!
