Introducing the couple: Brad is a 30 year old Texas State Trooper who loves to be at his deer lease in his spare time and
Hailey is a 27 year old hairstylist who loves to go fishing and shopping with her friends.
Brad & Hailey met 3 years ago at a mutual friend's barbecue. They hit it off and exchanged numbers. Brad called Hailey the very next day and asked her to go fishing with him that morning. To his surprise, Hailey accepted his offer to go fishing and met him at his favorite spot (his backyard pond). They fished all morning and continued to hit it off. Brad enjoyed Hailey's conversations and most importantly, her love for the outdoors, which fit in perfectly with his love for hunting and fishing. That night, Brad made their "first date" even better by cooking hamburgers and setting up a picnic under a big oak tree. This is where Hailey will admit she begin to fall in love with this country boy.
While dating, Brad & Hailey enjoyed going to his deer lease together, hunting, fishing, traveling, watching old movies, and spending time with their closest friends.
Clearly meant to be, Brad decided he wanted to ask Hailey to marry him shortly after their 3 year dating anniversary. Usually everyday they would go to the deer feeder together; this time Brad had something extra planned. He had deer antlers sitting next to the feeder that read, "Will you marry me?" with candles and flowers sitting next to it. Once Hailey was close enough to read the antlers, Brad got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Of course, she said, "Yes!"
Once engaged, Hailey and Brad relished the planning process full of ideas and creativity for their big day. They both want a pretty, yet personal and rustic wedding. They want a simple, casual, relaxed and calming atmosphere full of celebrating, dancing, and playing games with family and only their closest friends. Personal touches will be incorporated, including Hailey's love for DIY projects of handmade signs and decor, as well as their love for hunting and the outdoors.
Their favorite time of year is spring/summer time, so the wedding will take place in the middle of May. With the Texas heat, the ceremony will take place in the White Chapel at Rustic Grace Estate with cool air conditioning for the couple and guests to feel comfortable. As guests arrive, they will be greeted by two ushers, John and Barry. Guests will have the opportunity to sign a custom wood sign for Brad and Hailey. This wood sign will be sitting on top of a farm table with farm-to-table styled flower arrangements full of baby’s breath and light pink roses in mason jars. The guests will be handed a handmade program by the bride and will be ushered to their seats. As they enter into the white chapel, there will be galvanized buckets full of baby’s breath down the aisle. These flower arrangements will be made by family members. There will be a guitarist and violinist playing harmonious music under low and natural lighting coming in from the floor to ceiling windows facing the countryside. The music will set a tone of relaxed composure and calmness for the guests. The floor to ceiling windows will be their backdrop, along with a custom made arbor by Hailey’s one-and-only, Brad. The arbor will be stained a dark brown with baby’s breath, light pink roses, mini gerbera daisies and a few antlers attached.
After the couple has said their vows, they will head to an area to be photographed. Guests will make their way to the 1920s Red Barn on the property. When guests arrive, there will be a hay bar with beer and margaritas, as well as cheese, crackers, vegetables and fruit for the guests to enjoy. There will be soft lighting glowing from the strings of café lights strung from the barn to the chapel. Meanwhile, minor finishing touches are being completed inside the air conditioned red barn.
As guests enter into through the draped, sliding barn doors, they will come across an escort card table where their names will be posted. As they walk to their tables, a DJ will be playing upbeat country music. The tables will covered in white linen table cloths with burlap runners draped over rectangular tables setting under draped cafe lighting that gives off a soft glow inside the barn. On top of the tables will be rustic, farm-to-table arrangements filled with baby's breath, light pink roses, mini gerbera daisies and hydrangeas. The arrangements will sit in mason jars on top wood slabs with candles and antlers surrounding them. Once all guests are seated, the DJ will announce the wedding party while background music is being played. After the Bride and Groom are announced, they will immediately dance to their first song as husband and wife under the lights outside the barn doors. Following this dance, the bride and her father will dance to their song and then the groom and his mother will dance to their song. The outside dance floor will have soft cafe lighting and will be surrounded by bar height tables draped in white linens and seating made from square hay bales draped with blankets.
Once the first dances are complete, guests will be directed to the buffet styled food tables for options of endless barbecue from Hutchins BBQ in McKinney, Texas. Guests will see a handmade menu sign showing them all of their food choices. Guests will have the option of pulled pork, sliced brisket, hot links, potato salad, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, brisket pinto beans, and rolls. Brad and Hailey have a love for baked potatoes, so there will be a Baked Potato Bar for guests to pick their own toppings for their potatoes. There will be an open bar with strawberry margaritas, Coors Light, Bud Light and Shiner beer. Also, there will be water, sweet tea and soda available.
After guests are finished eating, the DJ will interact with guests to encourage them to play games and to dance the night away. Brad and Hailey are all about fun and wanted to incorporate as many games and entertainment as they could into their wedding. There will be a kid’s table for the young crowd. Kids will have the option to color or make their own coloring book. There will be a photo booth with all kinds of props. Guests will be able to take home a few of their pictures. There will be bag toss, ring toss, giant jenga, campfire, dancing, and more.
For dessert, guests will have the option from lemon wedding cake, red velvet groom’s cake, s’mores, and candy from the Sweets Bar. At the Sweets Bar, guests will have the opportunity to fill their own bag up with their favorite treats. There will be a campfire going outside and guests will have the option to roast their own marshmallows for s’mores.
To show their appreciation to the guests, Brad and Hailey had custom made koozies made for each of their guests to use and take home.
Brad and Hailey’s desire is to have that one-in-a-lifetime moment with all of their family and closest friends. They want gain a lot of memories for themselves and for their guests. Family and friends will leave feeling so much joy and love for the newlyweds after a beautiful night of fun.
